Bet

(Third Grade in elementary school)

In the Bet class, student will review their introduction to prayer book Hebrew for the first half of the year. Mid-year they will have a Siddur Consecration where they will be given their own Siddur to be used throughout the Hebrew School studies. In Bet, students also begin to study basic Bible stories, beginning with Creation and continuing through the story of Moses and Passover. In addition, students will learn more about and celebrate the holidays. This class visits the Library weekly. Every Sunday they also meet with the Music teacher to learn Hebrew and English songs and prayers.
